The exhibits at the Fairbanks Museum reflect the interdisciplinary character of the museum's mission and its collections. Permanent exhibitions focus on the region's natural resources and beauty, rural history and patterns of settlement, economic and environmental fortunes, astronomy, climate, and more. Natural objects are juxtaposed with cultural artifacts, decorative art objects, and text, to interpret the interplay between culture and environment.

Elegant wooden display cabinets complement the Museum's stunning interior and give visitors a glimpse into 19th century collecting and display methods. On the Museum's lower level, the Northern New England Weather Center invites visitors to observe the Museum's meteorologists at work.

For more information about the Museum's exhibits, contact Jack Gobin, Exhibits Coordinator.
